Capt. Jeremy Chavez
FOUNDER & CAMP DIRECTOR
Jeremy Chavez founded Keys Fishing Camp to create a mentorship-driven experience built around fishing, education, and personal growth. With years of guiding experience across Texas, Louisiana, and the Florida Keys, he’s passionate about helping young anglers build confidence both on and off the water through hands-on instruction and unforgettable experiences.
Capt. Brian Cone
OFFSHORE GUIDE
Capt. Brian Cone is one of the Florida Keys’ most respected offshore captains, known for targeting mahi-mahi, tuna, snapper, and other offshore species. Beyond putting campers on fish, Brian enjoys teaching techniques, sharing knowledge of the ocean, and creating exciting days on the water campers never forget.
Capt. Hudson McEntire
BACKCOUNTRY GUIDE
Originally from Alabama, Hudson McEntire has built his life around the water. After years working as a deckhand and guide, he now spends his seasons guiding in both Louisiana and the Florida Keys. Hudson enjoys helping campers improve their skills while sharing his passion for fishing and the outdoors.

For Capt. Dan Diez, fishing is more than a profession — it’s a lifelong passion. Known for his calm personality and dedication to the sport, Dan enjoys teaching campers the patience, focus, and techniques that make fishing in the Florida Keys so rewarding.

All of our counselors started as campers themselves. After years in the program, they return to help guide the next generation both on and off the water.
Bennett Armstrong

Bennett began as a camper himself and returned as a counselor to help guide the next generation of young anglers. He brings energy, leadership, and firsthand experience to camp while helping create a positive and supportive environment each week.
Erik Gillen

Erik returned as a counselor after years as a camper, bringing enthusiasm, confidence, and a strong connection with campers. He enjoys helping campers learn new skills, gain independence, and make the most of their time on the water.
Justin Byrnes
COUNSELOR
Justin returned as a counselor to share his passion for fishing and mentorship with younger campers. He enjoys working hands-on with campers, teaching techniques, and helping create a fun, encouraging atmosphere throughout the week.
